WHAT I THINK by Eze Anthony Uchenna

What I think

I think that the world is not equal and that it must not be equal for it to be at peace.
There must not be equality for it breeds disobedience and strife and that is why there are opposites:
For it is only natural that some become bad for good people to be known.
Without darkness, the light will not be noticed.
With the ugly people around you, one can then appreciate beauty.
If there were no black men, the white man would not have called himself white.
It is only by the presence of the poor that we know the rich.
You cannot call yourself an intelligent being without experiencing unintelligent ones.
One can only know a teacher if there are students.
Leaders don’t lead themselves, they lead the masses.
Who can say that he is tall without seeing a short man.
No one appreciates the sense of sight until he is blind.
Thieves steal from the owners,
If there were no thieves, there would be no owner.
I think that we know the saints when we might have seen a sinner.
And so, if there were no sinner, there will not be a saint.
It is by the presence of some corrupt leaders that we know the good ones.
If there were no sinners Christ would not have come.
There must be the foolish for the wise to be distinguished.
What of the doctors, would they have existed if there were no sick persons?
Even among the colours, it is from one that we know the other.
Even in the classroom, one has to take the last position for another to be at the top.
Look at the sizes in the world, it is when you see a real fat woman that you will appreciate thin women.
Is it not when you have experienced hatred that you truly value love?
That you recognize a kind act, is it not that you have already seen a wicked one?
Two combatants cannot be winners, one has to lose for the other to win.
And so, all the opposites are necessary for human existence. They are all important constituents of life and so the ugly are just as important as the beautiful, the poor as important as the rich, the bad as important as the good, the sinner as important as the saint, the thief as important as the owner etc.
As we have seen that one is as good as the other, one cannot be the best, for one needs the other for its existence. I recommend that what we should seek is to fulfill our functions for the good of humanity-be it the good or the bad, ugly or beautiful, thief or owner, rich or poor etc, for these can the world be complete. This is what I think. What do you think.?
