Dance of Death;Nigeria.

The Chinese have a very wise proverb: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me again, shame on me. How many times have Nigerian politicians fooled us? Are we not stupid?

Listen to Nigeria leaders and you will frequently hear- "this great country of ours". Nigeria is not a great country. It is one of the most disorderly nations. Nigeria is chaos and one of the most corrupt nations.  It is one of the most unpleasant place on earth that it is only fools, who have no self interest that can pick Nigeria for a holiday.

If Nigerian politicians should set out to see things in themselves, what do they actually see? Their monthly salary and their allowances will actually make them blind. They receive in millions and then begin to talk about minimum wage of other fools who voted them in, thereby maximizing their wahala.

Chinua Achebe rightly stated that Nigerian are what they are only because their leaders are not what they should be. Anybody who say that Nigeria is not corrupt is either a fool or has not been in Nigeria. So these Nigerian leaders, our so call politicians who claim that Nigeria is not corrupt are either fools or are not living in Nigeria which many of them do.

Nigerians are corrupt today because the system under which they live makes corruption easy and profitable (Chinua Achebe). If Nigeria leaders should make corruption difficult, Nigerians will cease to that.

Now, everybody has become beggar both the politicians and police men. Police now in Nigeria has become legalized beggars. If politicians are not beggars, then why do perform devilish act in other to achieve political office? Why do they seek political office. Why do they want to rule? Why do they go to the extent of changing their father's name to the name of the president? Is it not to beg for favor?

Now that election is coming, can they spare us the threat of violence in the next election? They have told us that they want our votes so that they can serve us, if we get killed while we are getting the votes, who then will they serve?

There should be no Nigeria because the leaders do not care for the people they are leading. Nigeria politicians do not follow the rule of law. The president does whatever he want. Is that democracy? The United States of America are more divided than Nigeria but they follow the rule of law. In the Northern Nigeria, if you are a Christian,  you cannot contest for any political office, yet we are one Nigeria. Yet we have freedom of religion. Politicians should tell themselves the truth and stop fooling themselves.

Every year, they map out huge amount of money for farming. Where does the money go? The money goes back to the politicians pocket  and the farmers would not have access to it.

Nigeria is not food sufficient. There is hungry in Nigeria and leaders are talking about exportation. You first satisfy your citizen before exporting. Let us live by reason and not by emotions, not by pleasure and selfishness.

If an Hausa man does anything, the leaders are comfortable but if it is an Igbo, what do you think would happen?

In Nigeria, we have 98,377,000 hectares of land according to FAO statistical database 2003. 2.9% of it is meant for permanent crop production. Arable crop production is 30.9%,  but for Pasture, (grassing by the Fulani) is 42.4%. The other 23.8% is not meant for Agriculture purposes.

This is to prove that Nigeria leaders care more not for the lives of their citizens but for cows. Who is fooling who?

Are we not insane? Unmask the Mask.

Is it the fear of saying the right thing or the fear of saying the right thing in a wrong way that made our people refused to talk? Why are we living unauthentic life? Let us unmask the mask and then face reality. I think, some Igbos, precisely some of our governors love money more than they love their brothers. Before now, I use to think that the love of money is the root of all evil but now I have learnt that, it is the "greediness" that is the root of evil. Why did I say so? These people have the money yet they are not satisfied; they want power.

Igbos!!! We are the cause of our problems. You call him ENYIOMA of Ndi Igbo (for Ebonyi State), or OCHIOHA Ndi Igbo (for South East), what did he do to merit that? Is the killing of Igbos in Aba that merited him that? Even if we all are not in support of Nnamdi Kanu, what about Python Dance; the killing of Innocent Igbos calling them terrorist. Terrorists terrorizing with what? Can you talk about security? If you think there is security, then why do you lock your doors? Why do you go around with personal security or don't you travel abroad? Why do people build tall fences?  In abroad, they don't build fences, rather they plant flowers for decoration. Where are our politicians? Don't you travel abroad? All these are signs of insecurity in Nigeria. Why can't the Python dance be done on Fulani herdsmen and their cow?
Igbo Politicians!!! Who is fooling who? We are fooling ourselves.

I am not talking about secession, rather I am talking about the unity of Nigeria. Yes Buhari said on his speech when he visited Ebonyi State,

"Igbo is Nigeria and Nigeria is Igbo. Both are inseparable"

I love that, both are inseparable because of oil. But we have to tell ourselves the truth. That object of unity which I think is "Oil" will one day cease to be there. By then Nigeria will be dismembered among the oil nations. We have refused to reason beyond today and that is the main reason Nigerians behave like those in the state of nature. That is why Nigeria seem to be one of the most disorderly nation in the world. That oil will not continue to be there.

What about the area the oil comes from? Are they not Nigerians? I heard about sanitization of Ogoni oil spillage. Waiting forward to hearing more about it again. If our politicians think they are enjoying now, if they think politics is  pleasant, they should know that not everything that is pleasant or enjoying is good. But everything that is good is pleasant.

Those people who buy our oil, do you think they will continue to buy the oil? They have started manufacturing another energy source alternative. They have cars that use solar energy, electricity, bio cells etc.   Those people have plan for their future unlike Nigeria and this has made me to say that  Nigeria is not a place we can sleep at night knowing that tomorrow will be better as he quoted in his speech in number 9.  How many ministers are from Igbo? What and what has he done for us...? Maybe he will favor us in 2018 budget. But don't we have representatives there in the house of Assembly? Who knows?

I think this great country will be better if we follow the rule of law. Let our politicians stop using human beings as means to end rather let them consider their fellow human being as an end itself. Igbos, how do we treat ourselves. We have many cases of kidnapping,  robbering, 419 every where. We use our intelligence for negative things. We are the problem we have.

The reward for doing the right thing is a hundred times better than doing the wrong or heartless thing. I am talking to our politicians now. This men who use gun everywhere, how did they get the guns. You can kill to ascend that office of Local Government Chairman, Governor or President... but only posterity will tell.

Who is fooling who, we are fooling ourselves. Let us unmask the mask and face reality.

Meet me on Facebook IZUNWAONU  Thank you and God bless you as you think better for our nation Nigeria.

The Death of a Mother.

The river of death flows angrily into our home and the cry of the dying rings out on every street and constantly we hear the women screaming and crying with groan of pain.
Even in the darkest of night, one can see that there is suffering everywhere, Jobless youths lie everywhere, their arms and legs move helplessly in the shells, while their future  are crying out for help.
There are thousands of our countrymen dying and trapped in silence but the mother claimed to be ignorant.
The mother is in the hotel watching TV, dancing to music, eating and drinking, while her children are dying of hunger at home.
The street is filled with people, crying, praying, and begging for mercy, for a miracle to happen, but no miracle happens.
While some manage to escape abroad, some endure the suffering but after sometimes those who escaped abroad are deported back to their home.
They return home, but can only walk about the streets, weeping and living on public succour.
Many of them are uprooted from their homes and many are killed abroad but some of the lucky ones who come back prefer being killed abroad.
Millions of our innocent people are suffering, and much of the youths’ talents are being destroyed every day.
Even the innocent baby in the womb is now suffering and the situation is getting to a point of no return. Crying and complaining only help us to release the emotions; but they do not solve the issues. In fact, crying may infuriate the problem, as crying is not a solution but a reaction. How can we expect our children to be what we do not prepare them to be? Even if you cannot solve their problems, at least lend a sympathetic ear to their cry. For those who care, the situation now is do or to die.
Our poor Children are neglected and no one cares for them.
If someone wants to take YOUR piece of land worth N100,000 from you and you discover that you will pay lawyers N150,000 before you recover it, will you go ahead to recover the land?
Someone will have a case and 20Lawyers will come to defend him maybe because he has money and the other will have no one to defend him.
This shows that Nigerian courts are not out for justice. They do not judge from how TRUTHFUL you are but how LOGICAL your arguments sound.
There is hunger and corruption in our home but our politicians are enjoying and at the same time claiming the ignorance.
In Budget 2017: Federal Government had to spend N432million on cars for ex-presidents while they cannot afford to pay pensions and gratuity.
Some of these are ex Governors who went into senate and they are being paid there as senators.
Why are you buying cars for someone who has many cars already?
If you want to be a good leader, why not place yourself in the shoes of the people you are leading?
Even our Traditional Rulers have been brainwashed into accepting this horrendous crime as business as usual just because of money.
I would think that this our so called home would be better served talking about jobs for the youth, not about personal interest of the politicians who have jobs, who have health insurance (Abroad), who have allowances even in things that are not necessary.
If this is done, our people will not be so desperate in travelling abroad.
Why are our people (as well as the president) so desperate about travelling abroad? Our home, a place God endowed with no earthquake history, no Hurricane, no volcano, no Heat stroke, no cold winter but beautiful weather. U.S, Canada, U.K, Australia and any part of the world is not better than our home but our politicians have turned her into hostility, No wonder many of our people been are hated everywhere.
Our politicians value money more than they value our lives.
Our politicians value the lives of cows more than.
If you think it is not true, what has Our Leaders done with regard to the killing of about 40 people in Nimbo in Enugu in April 2016?
About 50 people in Agatu area of Benue State, February 2016?
About 15 people in Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State, April 2016?
More than 22 persons were killed in December 2016, Kwata in Jos South Local government area of Plateau State‎?
And many other places, yet the Federal Government allows them to go about with their ammunitions.
If you say the truth, they will attack you or call you all sorts of names. Dr Dora Akunyili fought for people’s life by preventing the importation of fake drugs and people said she was wicked. Nigeria! Ndo.  I (IZUNWAONU) am now telling them the truth that the Mother of our home is dead and if care is not taken Our Home (Nigeria) also will die.
The only thing I will say about some of our politicians is that, they are another class of kidnappers and thieves who operate openly without shame.
As long as religion is misused by our politicians for their own selfish interests our home Nigeria can never progress rather they continue to do us, “the more you look, the less you see.”
They will belong to every religion that they may be voted for and even use the religious leaders to operate.
Our politicians do not care about our home country Nigeria.
Our politicians do not care about the people they are supposed to serve.
That is why they receive millions of Naira every month and they begin to talk about the minimum wage for the ‘slaves’ (N18, 000).
That is not even the greatest problem, but unemployment among young people. These politicians are already old which means that their death will bring about the termination of the nation.
We live in our nation constitutionally and we elected them to represent the interests of the nation and not the interest of particular oligarchic group.
If we do not take precautions, the magnitude of the weeping will be enormous.
If we do not take precautions, death will begin to sing the national anthem as it is expected and all the Nigerian (both Rich and poor, politicians and non-politicians) will begin to pray for the resurrection of Nigeria.
Yes, indeed, today our Mother Nigeria is dead.
Yes her political system is dead and it needs resurrection.
I would say, if we want to get back to the root of the problem, we should consider the people, as the real backbone of the nation.
Yes if we want change, we should want change for the Nigeria people, not politicians and their selfish agendas. And this will contribute to the resurrection of our Dead Mother Nigeria. Read more at izunwaonu.blogspots.com
